蓮の花 ― 2019/08/04
連日の猛暑にとても出かける気にはなりませんが、家内にせがまれて赤井手に蓮を見に行きました。
農家の方が居られたので聞いてみると、レンコンを作っているのではなく、花の栽培のためでした。
その方は花ではなく葉を採っておられたので、どうするのですかと聞くと、盆のお供えの器に蓮の葉を使うお家があり、結構需要があるようです。
田圃の一角は白の蓮で占められています。
近くによってみますと、八重咲きで結構豪華でした。
