雄山雌山 ― 2017/11/13
中国百名山には選ばれていないが、中国地方山百選に選ばれている雄山（ｵﾝｾﾞﾝ）という大山が望める山がある。岡山県の中で恐らく最も辺鄙な所にあり、登山中誰も出合わない可能性が高いので、友達を誘って大山の見える日に出かけました。写真は乗用車で登れる苗畑管理小屋付近から撮ったもので、左端が雌山、右端が雄山です。
最初に登る雌山は中国地方の山には珍しく唐松に覆われています。
雌山々頂直下の大岩からの展望。左から奥に大倉山、その奥が船通山。そして右奥は花見山です。
雌山々頂（1,067ｍ）。杉林に覆われていて展望は利きませんが、大山の見える方向だけ切り払われていました。
雌山から雄山までは林の中の尾根道を縦走です。途中に緩やかなピークが三つあります。
出発してから２時間余りで雄山々頂（1,153ｍ）。二等三角点で展望は360度。
北は大山、その手前に毛無山。東に向かって烏ケ山、金ケ谷山、皆ケ山、蒜山、櫃ケ山、星山。西に花見山、船通山。確認しただけで中国百名山が十座望めました。
更に北西の方角を見ると５０ｋｍも離れているのに島根半島が。そして、その手前には米子の市街地が望めました。
