熊野神社 ― 2015/09/28
比婆の山の中で３０年も前から気になっていた神社と滝があったので出かけてみました。その名は熊野神社と那智の滝。
その名を聞けば紀伊の熊野大社と那智の滝を思わずにいられない。
祭神は誰だろうと熊野神社略記を見てみると、比婆の御陵の里宮であった。
戦前の神道華やかりし頃の面影が随所に現れます。
樹齢千年以上の大杉が現れました。広島県で２番目に胴回りの太い木だそうです！
隋神門と狛犬。歴史を感じさせる佇まいです。
その奥に灯籠と拝殿。
拝殿から本殿へは橋の渡り廊下です。
本殿に千木や鰹木も無く、更に奥に建物が連なっています。何造りと言うのだろう？
本殿左手には摂社の牛馬荒神社と三宝荒神社。
その奥を少し登ると摂社の金蔵神社と
二宮神社。
本殿を巡る回廊が広いのと回廊を覆う屋根が独特と思えます。
更に登って行くと三ノ宮神社。段々小振りの社となりました。
更に４０分近く登って行くと現れたのが那智の滝。
紀伊の那智の滝ほどの高さも水量も無いけど、中々の滝でした。この後、更に竜王山へと登って行きます。
